The Desert Sun won a National Edward R. Murrow Award for Excellence in Innovation for its 2018 environmental investigative series, “Poisoned Cities, Deadly Border.”

Suzanne's role was to art direct, lead a team that developed the visual concepts and directions. Her team did everything from illustrative work, design layout, graphics and photo editing. Suzanne collaborated with all involved teams across the project.
